Chick Springs Featured on FOX Carolina & Other Updates

Hey Everyone, Happy December! I hope your Thanksgiving was meaningful and your Christmas celebrations are off to a good start. The holidays are also a challenging time for some. Either way, I hope this is a season of meaningful connection for you.

Last month, I shared our 2023 Recap (so far), so I won’t rehash all that today. However, I specifically want to point out a few things to you.

One of the most important things you can do as we move into 2024, with the prospect of the development of Chick Springs Park looming just over the horizon, is give to Taylors TownSquare.

We anticipate spending around $ 5,000 out of the gate on a required historical assessment of the property that can guide further redevelopment efforts, and we would like to install some lights and signage around the property to make it feel more like a place.

Just ten people giving $50 a month to Taylors TownSquare would cover the cost of that assessment, lighting, and signage. Will you be one of those 10?

Chick Springs featured on FOX Carolina:

I was featured on FOX Carolina, along with several other residents, in a piece about the history and current status of the Chick Springs property. Thanks to Ashley Garrett for reporting this; if you missed it, you can watch it on their website or click here on Facebook.

Speaking of Chick Springs, we are excited to see our acquisition of the property continuing to move forward and hope to have news to share about the completion of that process in the coming weeks.

Taylors-area politician running for US Congress, SC House District 20 seat open.

Adam Morgan, who has represented a large part of the Eastside and Taylors areas since joining the South Carolina House of Representatives in 2018, has announced his candidacy for Congress. He will be running in the Republican primary against incumbent William Timmons. Morgan’s move also opens up SC House District 20 as a race where no incumbent will run. If you’re interested in this, you can find information about being a candidate from the South Carolina Elections Commission, or email info@taylorstownsquare.com with questions.
